Pure Gold

It’s been a tough few weeks for the British left. The deaths of Bob Crow and Tony Benn have been mourned by people from across the political spectrum, and for a generation of trade unionists and socialists, both men were folk heroes.

In Bristol (a city that’s often hangs to the left, and one where Benn was an MP) this billboard was modified to commemorate the two men.

Now, normally we don’t approve of acts of advertising vandalism around here….but given your humble author is still shaking some of his student union leftism loose, let’s allow this one to pass with a wry smile…

Tony Benn, Bob Crow

Pure gold? You bet. After all, nothing’s too good for the workers…
