Spotted this superb piece of taxi advertising / modification whilst stumbling around Clapton the other day.

Regfind: they buy number plates! Find number plates! And sell number plates!

Also – on the same cab – was an ad for Easigrass. They are an artificial grass company, naturally. So they’ve covered their cab in artificial grass.

As taxi ads go, those would be bonkers and brilliant on their own – but on the same cab? Inspired.

Trying To Tell Me Something?

I’m always delighted to get mail from my fan(s) – so imagine my excitement when an email pinged into my inbox earlier this week, with an attached picture that ‘made me think of you’.

Charmed, I’m sure.

A bit of desk research reveals that this traditional outdoor campaign – by Fit4Less – also attracted a fair bit of attention on the internet, by dint of being quite rude about fat and ugly people.

Quite unkind, quite unsubtle, but probably quite effective.  Two out of three ain’t bad, I guess…

Spotted this building in Shoreditch on Saturday – wrapped rather nicely by Outdoor Plus.

As well as a natty European cover (trust me, the building underneath looks less pleasant) there are some really striking snaps by acclaimed aerial photographer Jason Hawkes to match.

Spotted this ace picture of a 007 domination, which featured on the London underground last week – to celebrate the release of the Skyfall DVD.
Sam Mendes’ acclaimed film was brilliantly advertised (as well as brilliantly blogged about) and the latest piece of outdoor on the CBS site looks sharp:

With Valentines’ Day approaching fast (yes I’m free and yes you can have my number) love is filling the air and greetings card shops of the UK like a platitude-scented poisonous gas.

Still, even the most hardened cynics couldn’t fail to be moved by plucky Wayne Eldridge (copyright: all journalists) who used everyone’s favourite advertising medium (hint: it’s not telly) to bring a little bit of romance to the Asda car park in Greenwich, South London.

After teaming up with our friends at Primesight, Wayne used a poster near his girlfriend Kerri’s local supermarket to pop the question:

Will you? WILL YOU?

Kerri, who is presumably happier than she looks in the picture above, said….

She said yes!

She said yes!

…yes!
